Waterfront Seattle 13.8 kV Network Relocation

The Waterfront Seattle project included construction of electrical duct banks and vaults for the Seattle Department of Transportation. A significant amount of contaminated (sulfur) groundwater within the project area needed treatment and discharge for the duct bank construction.

Encore worked closely with King County, SDOT and MidMountain to develop the TESC and an extensive dewatering discharge plan. Encore also setup a water treatment system with hydrogen peroxide as a means to treat the water and worked around the clock with MidMountaint’s crew to keep the excavations dewatered.
